Our vintage Pecan Fudge recipe originated in the "Alice in Brown Sugar Land" cookbook published in 1957. Dense with a sweet caramel flavor, this classic recipe has been served for generations.

INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix brown sugar, corn syrup, salt, milk and butter in saucepan.  Cook, stirring only until sugar dissolves and mixture reaches soft ball stage (238° F).
  2. Remove from heat; cool at room temperature, without stirring until lukewarm.
  3. Add vanilla, beat until mixture holds its shape and starts to lose its gloss.  Stir in nuts and spread in buttered pan.
  4. Cool and cut in squares.
