
Chill 45 minutes
INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups all-purpose flour (spoon and sweep method*)
- 1 cup Imperial Sugar Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 large egg, slightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
*Using spoon fill measuring cup with flour until required amount is obtained. (Scooping measuring cup directly into flour bag will firmly pack flour resulting in too much flour required for recipe.)
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Sift dry ingredients together and place in a mixing bowl.
- Add butter and using an electric mixer mix until mixture resembles coarse meal.
- Add egg, whipping cream and vanilla. Blend thoroughly and chill until cold, approximately 45 minutes.
- Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray or line with parchment paper. On a lightly floured surface roll the dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes and place on cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10-14 minutes or until sides and bottoms are light golden. If desired transfer to a wire rack to cool.
