Colorful Paper Easter Eggs

Colorful Paper Easter Eggs

Description

This Easter, make colorful Easter egg baskets that you can use for decorations year after year. Using colorful scrap paper, markers, crayons, glitter and whatever other decorating craft you have on hand, you can make one-of-a-kind centerpieces.

Kids of all ages will have fun making these paper egg decorations using scrap paper. Cutting paper is a great way to develop fine motor skills in children, and this project is a fun way to use the leftover pieces from other projects. Attach scrap paper using our sugar glue paste to create fun patterns and bright colors!  Use our sugar glue recipe below to make the paper stick.

Ingredients

  1. Sugar Paste

Supplies

  • Construction Paper
  • Scrap Paper
  • Scissors (we used some patterned scissors for some of our scraps)
  • Glitter
  • Markers or crayons
  • Sugar paste
  • Paint brush

Directions

  1. Trace the shape of an egg onto a sheet of construction paper and cut it out. This will be the base for our project.
  2. Cut your scrap paper into strips. We used patterned scissors to make different designs onto our eggs.
  3. Use the sugar paste to attach the scrap paper strips onto your eggs.
  4. You can place colored strips of paper in different patterns to make your Easter eggs extra fun. You could even cut the scrap paper into squares to make confetti eggs!
