This Fruit Oat Crumble Bar gift mix is a delicious, easy-to-make and thoughtful gift to give to loved ones, friends, neighbors, or teachers. Just package up all the ingredients listed below, place them in a mason jar, attach the gift mix label, and include the pre-printed recipe card. Along with the gift mix jar, include a small jar of your jam of choice. Your gift recipient will only need to add butter. All the other ingredients are included. Once baked, these Fruit Oat Crumble Bars have an oatmeal cookie crust, a sweet jam filling, and a buttery oatmeal crumble topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour*
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup Imperial Sugar Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • Favorite 18-oz. jar of jam or preserves (strawberry, blueberry, fig, cherry)

*Spoon & Sweep method: Use a spoon to fill measuring cup with flour until required amount is obtained. Scooping measuring cup directly into flour bag will firmly pack flour resulting in too much flour required for recipe.

Directions

  1. Put flour in the container first, then ginger and salt.
  2. Next, add light brown sugar and pack firmly.
  3. Add oats last.
  4. Wrap a ribbon around the container, and attach the preprinted recipe card. Preprinted recipe cards can be downloaded below. Card stock or self-adhesive label paper works best. Include the jar of jam with your gift.
