Edible Play Dough

Edible Play Dough

Description

Any kid who has ever played with play dough has wondered what it tastes like. Here’s a kid’s craft project where you really can eat it! The edible play dough recipes below are a great way to spend time together getting creative and enjoying a sweet treat in the process. All creations are edible – including any extra dough that sticks to the fingers – so be sure to wash your hands first because you won’t be able to resist sampling your art project when it is done.

These edible play dough recipes become even more fun when you bring out the cookie cutters, spatulas, jar lids and other kitchen utensils to make shapes and patterns. You can even set out sprinkles, Rice Krispies, chocolate chips and other fun decorations to finish off your art project.

Please note this edible play dough is made with peanut butter, so before inviting friends over to play with it, check for peanut allergies.

  1. Honey Play Dough

  2. Frosting Play Dough

Directions

  1. Using your hands, mix ingredients in a large bowl. The dough should be soft enough to be pliable and not sticky. The dough will get softer the more you play with it.
