  • 2 1/2 cups + 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour*
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup Imperial Sugar Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, soft
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg whites
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
      • *Spoon & Sweep method: Use a spoon to fill measuring cup with flour until required amount is obtained. Scooping measuring cup directly into flour bag will firmly pack flour resulting in too much flour required for recipe.


      1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
      2. Sift together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and baking powder and set aside.
      3. Cream butter until smooth, add sugar and mix more. Add egg whites, salt and vanilla and mix well but not until light and fluffy.
      4. Add sifted ingredients all at once and mix until just combined. Do not over mix.
      5. Press dough flat on a plastic food film lined cookie sheet and chill in refrigerator until firm enough to roll. About 1 hour or leave overnight.
      6. This dough tends to become soft very quickly during rolling. Tip: place 2 cookie sheets filled with ice cubes on the area where you will be rolling dough. This will keep dough longer cool and make it easier to work. Using the least amount of flour during rolling will give the most delectable result.
      7. Turn on oven. Sprinkle the work surface with a small amount of flour and roll 1/4 of  dough 4 stacked credit cards thick. Cut into desired shapes and place on parchment, silicone baking mat lined or buttered cookie sheets. Repeat with remaining dough.
      8. If desired imprint the cookies using a small spoon or a toothpick for eyes etc.
      9. Bake until golden-light brown, about 12 minutes, baking time will depend on thickness of cookies.

      • 1 1/2 tazas harina multiuso, cernida
      • 1/4 cucharadita sal
      • 1/2 cucharadita polvo para hornear
      • 3/4 taza Imperial Sugar Azúcar Granulada Extra Fina
      • 1/2 taza manteca vegetal
      • 1/2 cucharadita extracto de vainilla
      • 1/2 cucharadita extracto de almendra
      • 1 huevo grande

      Glaseado para te&ntildeir:

      • *Método de cuchara y barrido: use una cuchara para llenar la taza de medir con harina hasta obtener la cantidad requerida. Si coloca la taza de medir directamente en la bolsa de harina, empacará la harina con firmeza y se necesitará demasiada harina para la receta.


      1. Caliente el horno a 350° F.
      2. Cierna la harina, sal y el polvo de hornear. Mezcle la azúcar, manteca, vainilla, extracto de almendra y el huevo usando una batidora hasta que la mezcla quede cremosa. Una las dos mezclas completamente.
      3. Moldee hasta hacer un rollo de 3 pulgadas; envuelva en papel encerado y refrigéralo. Corte en rebanadas de 1/2 pulgadas.
      4. En una tabla de amasar empolvada con harina, ruede cada rebanada y corte con los molde de galleta.
      5. Hornee por 8 minutos. Enfríe en la rejilla.
      6. Si desea, cubra con el glaseado con color o con el glaseado.
      7. Para teñir el glaseado, mezcle bien los ingredientes. Divida la mezcla en tazones pequeños y añádale color vegetal de su preferencia.
      8. Decore las galletitas usando un pincel de repostería limpio. Limpia los pinceles con ayuda de una persona mayor. Usa trozos de dulces gomosos, azúcar de colores, nueces, etc. para hacerlos divertidos.
