Bacon Cream Corn

Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon, cut into 1/4 inch slices and rendered. Reserve bacon fat
  • 1/4 sweet onion, minced
  • 2 bags (10 oz) frozen corn
  • 3 tablespoons Imperial Sugar Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 2 ounces cream cheese softened

      Directions

      1. In a large skillet, heat bacon fat and onion. Sautee onion until translucent.
      2. Combine remaining ingredients in skillet and heat through.
      3. Remove about 1/4 corn mixture to a food processor and blend briefly. Add back to corn mixture.
      4. Sprinkle with bacon pieces and serve hot.

      I cooked this for supper last night. Everyone that tried it liked it very much. I would definitely cook this again.

      Crema de Maíz con Tocineta

      Ingredientes

      • 6 rebanadas de tocineta, cortada en rebanadas de 1/4 de pulgada y cocida.
      • 1/4 de cebolla dulce, picadita
      • 2 bolsas (10 onzas) maíz congelado
      • 3 cucharadas Imperial Sugar Azúcar Granulada Extra Fina
      • 3/4 taza de crema de leche
      • 2 onzas de queso crema, suavizado
      • Sal y pimienta al gusto

      Direcciones

      1. En un sartén grande, caliento grasa de la tocineta y la cebolla. Saltee la cebolla hasta que se vea translucida.
      2. Combine los ingredientes restantes en el sartén y caliente uniformemente.
      3. Remueva 1/4 de la mezcla del maíz a un procesador de comida y mezcle brevemente. Agregue de regreso a la mezcla de maíz.
      4. Rocíe con pedazos de tocineta y sirva caliente.
