Bulgogi Turkey Burgers with Asian Pear Slaw

Ingredients
- Burgers
- 1 1/4 pounds ground turkey
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili sauce) or Chinese chili sauce
- 1/3 cup peeled and grated Asian pear or sweet apple
- 1/4 cup sliced green onion
- Asian Pear Slaw
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Imperial Sugar Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 cup prepared coleslaw mix with carrots
- 1/2 cup peeled Asian pear (or sweet apple), cut into matchstick pieces
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- Gochujang Mayo
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 teaspoon Imperial Sugar Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili sauce) or Chinese chili sauce
- 4 sesame hamburger buns, split and lightly toasted
Directions
- In large bowl, mix together ground turkey, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and chili sauce.
- Add Asian pear (or apple) and green onion until combined.
- Divide mixture into 4 equal patties. Set aside.
- Prepare Asian Pear Slaw. In medium bowl, whisk together lime juice, rice vinegar, sugar and sesame oil.
- Add coleslaw mix, Asian pear (or apple) and cilantro; tossing to mix. Set aside.
- Prepare Gochujang Mayo. In small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sugar and chili sauce; set aside.
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cook burgers until fully cooked throughout, about 7 minutes per side.
- To serve, spread cut sides of buns with Gochujang Mayo, add burger and top with Asian Pear Slaw.
