    Directions

    1. Combine sugar, water, vanilla extract and salt in a sauté pan. Bring to a boil.
    2. Add pecans and toss into syrup. Cook a few minutes and until most of the syrup is evaporated. Remove from heat. Stir pecans until a white grainy coating develops on their surface.
    3. Turn heat back on to medium and toss pecans until white coating caramelizes and they sound “dry”.
    4. Sprinkle with cinnamon and remove from heat. Let pecans cool on parchment paper.
    5. Store airtight.

    Pacanas (nueces) confitadas

    1. Combine el azúcar, agua, extracto de vainilla y sal en un sartén. Ponga a hervir.
    2. Agregue la Pacanas y revuelva en el almíbar. Cocine por unos pocos minutos hasta que la mayoría del almíbar se haya evaporado. Remueva del fuego. Revuelva las pacanas hasta que una capa blanca granulada se forme en la superficie.
    3. Suba el fuego de nuevo a medio y agregue las pacanas hasta que la capa blanca se caramelice y suenen secas.
    4. Espolvoree con canela y remueva del fuego. Deje que la pecanas se enfríen en papel parafinado.
    5. Guarde en un envase sellado.

     

    Deliciosas en ensaladas, Platillos de queso blanco, helado, postres etc.…
