Ingredients

    • *Spoon & Sweep method: Use a spoon to fill measuring cup with flour until required amount is obtained. Scooping measuring cup directly into flour bag will firmly pack flour resulting in too much flour required for recipe.

    Directions

    4. In a small bowl, whisk granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together.
    5. Sprinkle half of cinnamon sugar evenly into bottom of prepared pan.
    6. Press dough on top of cinnamon sugar.
    7. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon sugar on top and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
    8. Place pan on a wire rack to cool completely.
    9. Once cooled, use the foil to remove bars from the pan and cut into pieces.
    10. Store airtight at room temperature for up to 3 days.

I made the recipe but used dark brown sugar. They taste pretty darn good. If I ever make them again I will use a slightly bigger baking pan. They were bars so they were kind of thick like brownies. I expected thinner bars like cookies.

Two thumbs up! Would make again and again. Chewy. Soft. Slight crunch on the edge. And everything is better with browned butter! Yum!!

These Churro Bars were just so delicious. I took them to our Lady's Guild Meeting and there were only 2 left. Everyone loved them. Next time I have to make a pan for my family.
