Ingredients

    • *Spoon & Sweep method: Use a spoon to fill measuring cup with flour until required amount is obtained. Scooping measuring cup directly into flour bag will firmly pack flour resulting in too much flour required for recipe.

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
    2. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, allowing it to hang over sides. Coat paper with cooking spray.
    3. In a stand mixer fitted with whisk attachment, whisk together melted butter with brown sugar and sugar until smooth.
    4. Add eggs, zest and vanilla and mix until smooth.
    5. Remove the bowl and stir in the flour and salt just until moistened. Gently fold in the cranberries until distributed.
    6. Pour batter into prepared pan, smoothing top.  Place a few (10-12) fresh cranberries on top of batter.
    7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
    8. Let pan cool completely then cut them into 8 large or 16 small squares and serve.

    I made these exactly as written with one exception, I added nuts. This is one of the yummiest bars I have ever made! I will definitely be making this again and again!

    • *Método de cuchara y barrido: use una cuchara para llenar la taza de medir con harina hasta obtener la cantidad requerida. Si coloca la taza de medir directamente en la bolsa de harina, empacará la harina con firmeza y se necesitará demasiada harina para la receta.

    Direcciones

    1. Precaliente el horno a 350 F.
    2. Forre una bandeja de hornear de 8 pulgadas con papel parafinado, deje que cuelgue de los lados, rocíe el papel con una capa de aceite para cocinar en aerosol.
    3. En una batidora de pie con la pieza de espumadora, bata la mantequilla derretida con el azúcar morena clara y el azúcar hasta que esté suave.
    4. Agregue huevo, ralladura de naranja y la vainilla y mezcle hasta que esté suave.
    5. Remueva del envase y agregue el harina y sal, mezcle hasta que esté todo mojado. Gentilmente agregue los arándanos y con movimiento envoltorios mezcle hasta que estén bien distribuidos.
    6. Agregue la mezcla a la bandeja anteriormente preparada, haciendo que el tope quede suavizado. Coloque varios arándanos en el tope de la mezcla.
    7. Hornee por 35 a 40 minutos o hasta que el palillo que inserte salga limpio.
    8. Deje que la bandeja enfríe completamente y luego corte en 8 pedazos grandes o 16 pedazos pequeños y sirva.
