  1. In a bowl whisk together cream and buttermilk.
  2. Cover with plastic food wrap and place on kitchen counter for 12-18 hours. Do not refrigerate at this point.
  3. Place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or very cold.
  4. Add sugar and vanilla extract and whip to desired firmness.
