Ingredients

  • One 9-inch graham cracker crust
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups Imperial Sugar Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup low fat or regular buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Optional: Pinch nutmeg

      Directions

      1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
      2. Best results are obtained by prebaking graham crust. Follow manufacturer’s instructions.
      3. Meanwhile whisk eggs until well blended. Melt butter and add to eggs. Whisk in sugar and combine well.
      4. Sift and mix in flour. Add buttermilk, vanilla, lemon juice and nutmeg. Pour in pre-baked crust and return to oven for about 55-60 minutes or until center no longer trembles when pie is tapped.

      I have been a big fan of buttermilk pie for a while and this was fairly simple to put together. It baked beautifully and although the individual slices weren't very pretty, it tasted wonderful. The nutmeg is a great spice in the background.

      • 1 masa de galletas Graham
      • 3 huevos grandes
      • 1 barra o 1/2 taza de mantequilla sin sal
      • 1 1/4 taza de Imperial Sugar Azúcar Granulada Extra Fina
      • 3 cucharadas de harina multiuso (Spoon and sweep method*)
      • 1 taza de suero de la leche baja en grasas o regular
      • 2 cucharaditas de vainilla
      • 1 cucharada de jugo de limón
      • Pizca de nuez moscada

      Direcciones

       

      1. Caliente el horno a 350º F.
      2. Para obtener mejores resultados hornee la masa de galletas Graham de acuerdo a las instrucciones del fabricante.
      3. Mientras tanto, bata los huevos bien. Derrita la mantequilla y añádale los huevos. Añádale la azúcar y combine bien.
      4. Cierna y mezcle la harina. Añada el suero de la leche, la vainilla el jugo de limón y la nuez moscada. Viértala mezcla en la masa y hornee por alrededor de 30 minutos o hasta que el centro no tiemble al darle golpecitos.
